Presence Church

Pastor Corey Person was born in Blue Island Illinois. Pastor Corey’s mother received prophetic word that she would have a son and that he would preach the gospel and he was later born May 28, 1982. His late father and devoted mother raised him to serve the Lord at an early age. By the age of 8 years old Pastor Corey was a skilled drummer for the church. Pastor Corey’s mother however came up to him at 8 years old and said give me the drumsticks son. She went on to tell him that playing the drums was his gift and his hobby, but he was called to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. So she took the sticks and made him sit under the word and began being taught the word of God.

Pastor Corey received Christ at a young age and was later baptized in Holy Ghost at the age of 13. Shortly thereafter Pastor Corey began teaching bible studies at the age of 15. This bible study was filled with children from a local orphanage. They consisted of all ages, African American, Asian, Hispanic, and Caucasian as well. All 15 of them gave their lives to Jesus and were all filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in lounges. Pastor Corey was later ordained as a minister under Pastor Solomon Jones of Evidence Christian Center.

Pastor Corey later attended Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights majored in Business and transferred to Old Dominion University where he studied Human Services after he completed college he married his beautiful wife Mary Person in 2004 and she gave him 3 awesome children Kirsten, Benjamin, and Isaac. They have been happily married and still going strong. Lady Mary serves diligently beside him in their home as well as the ministry. A year after they were married

Pastor Corey was ordained as Pastor of Jesse’s House of Global Prayer and serves as Pastor with his lovely wife.

In December of 2015, the Apostle of the church fully released the church over to Pastor Corey and Lady Mary and he now serves as the Senior Pastor of Jesse’s House of Global Prayer. This church is a breeding ground for revival, and reformation and has a mission to get America back to the Cross of Jesus!! Pastor Corey’s ministry is built on three foundation pillars. Prayer, Worship and the Word (The Gospel). Pastor Corey established a virtual prayer line that has 25 states on the prayer line every Mon-Friday at 6:00am. Pastor Corey’s vision is to have all 50 states praying in their local time zones every morning at 6:00am in prayer. Isaiah 56:7 Even them I will bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations. Pastor Corey also established campus ministries, and he is the CEO of Advocate Leadership Team where he trains youth on job readiness skills and connects them with local business for internships and employment opportunities
